Treat(ment) Day 🍕
After we finally recovered from the chaos of midterm, it was time for a little “treat-ment.” Instead of slowing down completely, we shifted into a more relaxed but still productive mode. We met up as a team again to talk about what went well, what we could improve, and how to turn all the feedback into clear next steps for Jargon. It wasn’t a high-pressure day like midterm, but it was an important one—more about reflection than performance.

We started by going over the comments from our classmates and advisors, picking out patterns in what people liked and what they found confusing. Some of us took notes, some sketched ideas, and others started small Figma tweaks on the spot. It was nice to have space to talk honestly about things like timing, flow, and which parts of the app really stood out. We weren’t just patting ourselves on the back,we were already thinking like a team planning for the final.
Then came the best part: Henry surprised us by bringing pizza for everyone. As soon as the boxes showed up, the whole vibe in the room changed. Laptops were pushed aside for a moment, people leaned back, and the energy turned from “school project mode” into “friends hanging out after a big milestone.” We ate, laughed, and shared our favourite (and funniest) moments from presentation day, the nerves before going up, the parts we accidentally improvised, and the little tech glitches only we noticed.
It was one of those times where it really felt like we weren’t just building an app, we were building it together as a team. You could feel that everyone cared, not only about the project, but about each other. That kind of trust and comfort makes it so much easier to give and receive feedback, try new ideas, and admit when something isn’t working yet.
Even though it was a chill day, it did exactly what we needed: it helped us reset our energy, reconnect as a group, and remember why we’re doing this in the first place. With midterm behind us and pizza in our system, we felt lighter, more motivated, and ready to aim higher. Now we’re looking ahead to the second half of the term, excited to keep polishing Jargon and push it to the next level.
