Malatang Night
Today was a full-on marketing day for Jargon.
We shifted our focus from screens and code to everything that helps tell our story to the outside world. As a team, we worked through brochures, merch ideas, sticker designs, and updates for the website. It felt like we were finally shaping how Jargon would look and feel in the real world—not just as an app, but as a brand people can see, touch, and remember.

We spent time refining copy for the brochure so it’s clear who Jargon is for and how it helps. Then we moved on to merchandise and stickers, thinking about what would make people actually want to use and keep them, something fun, simple, and connected to our “speak your trade” idea. At the same time, we were updating the website so that it matches our latest UI and feels more aligned with what Jargon has become after the midterm. The more we worked, the more it felt like all the pieces, product, marketing, and visuals, were finally starting to click together.
Of course, this also meant we worked late into the night. After hours of tweaking layouts, exporting assets, and debating tiny design details, everyone was tired and hungry. On a day like this, honestly, what could be better than malatang? So instead of going out, we ordered it straight to the classroom. Soon the room was full of the smell of spicy broth and the sound of chopsticks and keyboards taking turns. We ate while still half-talking about designs, half-laughing about all the little stressful moments from the day.
Sitting there with the team, slurping malatang in our “war room” classroom after a long work session, felt like the perfect reset. It was a reminder that even though things are intense and deadlines are real, we’re still allowed to enjoy the process, celebrate small wins, and take care of each other along the way.
